Dylan James Newstead
Filmmaker / Producer / Editor
Dylan James Newstead is a filmmaker, producer, and editor who has been working across all phases of production since 2000. Based in the Victoria and Colwood area, he brings over two decades of technical and creative expertise to Coastal Roots Media. Dylan specializes in high-end digital workflows, utilizing Blackmagic cinema cameras and advanced drone technology to capture compelling, dynamic visuals. As an editor, he brings projects to life with precision using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Beyond his commercial and real estate videography, Dylan’s recent narrative and documentary work includes editing the crime drama Gangsterphernia, producing the short film The Final Atonement, and developing the documentary I am SC’IȺNEW.
